Putin: 22 ground-based ICBMs to be commissioned for Russian Strategic Rocket Forces in 2014
SOCHI. Nov 27 (Interfax) - Twenty-two ground-based intercontinental ballistic missiles will be added to the arsenals of the Russian Strategic Rocket Forces (RVSN) in 2014, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"We plan to add another 22 ground-based intercontinental ballistic missiles to the RVSN arsenals next year," Putin said at a conference dealing with RVSN development on Wednesday.
Two RVSN regiments were armed with new mobile strategic systems earlier this year, Putin said.
"We intend to continue developing the main component of our strategic nuclear forces in a prioritized manner," He said.
