Ukrainian opposition leaders leave for Vilnius summit

KYIV. Nov 27 (Interfax) - The leaders of the Ukrainian opposition parliamentary factions, Arseniy Yatsenyuk (Batkivshchyna), Vitali Klitschko (UDAR), and Oleh Tyahnybok (Svoboda) have left for the Eastern Partnership summit in Vilnius.

"They have already departed," Interfax was told at the press service of Batkivshchyna in Kyiv on Wednesday.

The official website of Batkivshchyna reports that on November 28 Yatsenyuk will take part in the meeting with leaders of the Eastern Partnership arranged by the European People's Party.

On Friday Yatsenyuk will speak at the session 'Ukraine as an associated country of the EU: possibilities and challenges" held in the framework of Lithuanian presidency in the EU Council.

Batkivshchyna leaders are also scheduled to meet several European politicians.

The events in Vilnius will also be attended by the head of Verkhovna Rada committee for European integration Hryhoriy Nemyria and daughter of former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, Yevhenia.

According to the press service of UDAR party, Klitschko plans to meet EU Commissioner for Enlargement Stefan Fule and speak at the summit session "Ukrainian course".

The leaders of the three opposition factions intend to express their position which differs from the position of the leadership of Ukraine and ask the EU "not to close the doors on Ukraine."
