Rosselkhoznadzor prevents import of potentially dangerous pork from Poland
MOSCOW. Nov 28 (Interfax) - Experts of the Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) for the Kaliningrad region have prevented import of potentially dangerous pork from Poland to Russia.
It was determined while inspecting the cargo that the packing listed in the veterinary certificate did not match the real packing, the watchdog said.
Pork was supplied from an enterprise, whose products are under intensified laboratory control since October 2013 due to the fact the banned and harmful substances, in particular, the colon-group bacteria, were found in it.
The batch of pork of over 2 tonnes has been banned from leaving the customs control. It is being decided on holding liable the cargo owner.
