SCO prime ministers meet in Tashkent
TASHKENT. Nov 29 (Interfax) - The prime ministers of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states, including Russia's Dmitry Medvedev, are meeting in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
Representatives of observer countries and honorary guests will join them later.
Uzbek Prime Minister Shavkat Mirziyeyev said at the start of the meeting that his country attaches great importance to these negotiations and treats them as an "opportunity to exchange opinions on the prospects for further cooperation within the SCO, as well as on key international topics, trade, the economy, culture and humanitarian affairs."
The premiers then confirmed the session's agenda and launched their discussions.
Mirziyeyev, speaking on behalf of all those present, also congratulated Tajik Prime Minister Kokhir Rasulzoda on his recent appointment to this post.
