Azarov speaks against use of violence of peaceful protesters

KYIV. Nov 30 (Interfax) -Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said the Ukrainian administration is not interested in dispersing peaceful protests.

"One thing is clear now: the authorities are definitely not interested in the scenario that has now eventuated. On the contrary, our task is to maintain calm and stability," Azarov said on Facebook on Saturday.

Azarov reiterated that citizens have a right to conduct protests. "I have said more than once and I will repeat it now: people who protest legally and peacefully are our co-citizens, whose rights we have a duty to protect," he said.
