Opposition leader: Ukraine needs presidential poll before forming new govt

KYIV. Dec 2 (Interfax) - Ukraine needs an early presidential election before forming a new government, the parliamentary leader of the Batkivshchyna (Fatherland) opposition party argued on Monday.

"It is after an early presidential election that a new government can be formed," Arseny Yatsenyuk told a briefing in Kyiv.

The leader of the nationalist Svoboda (Freedom) party, Oleh Tyahnybok, called for "a government of a national alternative."
