Yanukovych is indignant over EU attempts to 'stoop' Ukraine
KYIV. Dec 2 (Interfax) - Ukraine's actions over the signing of the association agreement with the European Union are aimed at the protection of national interests, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych said.
"What an agreement is it if we are accepted and 'stooped'? I for example think that we should not yield, we should protect our own interests," Yanukovych said in an interview with a number of Ukrainian TV channels on Monday night.
"We want to reach better terms of the agreement because it is linked primarily to our economic interests," he said.
