Tensions in Ukrainian administration, society will decrease within month - State Duma
MOSCOW. Dec 3 (Interfax) - Leonid Slutsky, the head of the State Duma committee on CIS affairs, believes political tensions in Ukraine will decline within a month.
"I hope the current tensions in Kyiv, in the administration, and in Ukrainian civil society will decline considerably within the next month," Slutsky told a press conference on Tuesday.
Slutsky believes what is currently happening on Ukraine's Maidan is "a show."
"I am not saying it's 100% a bubble. Of course, not. It's a reflection of the conflict that now exists in Ukraine's political establishment, namely in Kyiv," he said.
No mass protest waves are currently observed in Ukraine, even in its Western regions, Slutsky said.
"No one wants thousands of people to lose their jobs," the parliamentarian said.
