Kyrgyz citizen seized in Kazakhstan for carrying 10 kilos of heroin to Russia
ASTANA. Dec 4 (Interfax) - The transport police's drug control department of the Shu station in the Zhambyl region of southern Kazakhstan has intercepted a drug shipment from Kyrgyzstan to Russia, the transport police press service reports.
"A 27-year-old citizen of Kyrgyzstan was detained on the Shu railroad station while boarding the Bishkek-Sverdlovsk train. He was carrying 10.13 kilograms of heroin in his bag," the press service said on Wednesday.
A criminal case was opened, and the suspect was put into a detention facility.
