Putin unites Rossiiskaya Gazeta with Rodina magazine, liquidates Russian Book Chamber

MOSCOW. Dec 9 (Interfax) - President Vladimir Putin has issued a decree that reorganized Rossiiskaya Gazeta FSUE by merging it with FSUE Rodina magazine.

His decree entitled "On certain measures to raise the effectiveness of the operations of state-owned mass media" is posted on the presidential website.

The same decree liquidates the Russian Book Chamber with the subsequent transfer of its property to ITAR-TASS news agency.

The provisions will come into effect as of the day of the enforcement of the federal bill amending the December 29, 1994 law on mandatory copies of documents.
