State Duma plans to issue statement on situation in Ukraine on Tuesday

MOSCOW. Dec 9 (Interfax) - The Russian State Duma intends to issue a statement regarding the situation in Ukraine on Tuesday.

"The draft statement is being prepared by a relevant committee on CIS affairs," head of the State Duma committee on CIS affairs Leonid Slutsky told Interfax on Monday.

The consideration will take place at 11 a.m., First State Duma Deputy Speaker Ivan Melnikov said.

"Russian parliamentarians want to express their support for resolving the situation in Ukraine within legal fields," Melnikov said.
