Ukraine revises negative GDP growth in Q3 to 1.3% from 1.5%
KYIV. Dec 10 (Interfax) - Ukraine's gross domestic product (GDP) in the third quarter of 2013 shrank by 1.3% compared with the third quarter of 2012, which corresponds to the pace of economic contraction in the second quarter of this year, the State Statistics Service reported on Tuesday.
In late October, the service preliminarily estimated the GDP decline in July-September 2013 at 1.5%.
According to new figures, seasonally adjusted GDP in the third quarter of 2013 shrank by 0.3% compared with the second quarter of 2013, whereas the service initially estimated the decline at 0.4%.
Nominal GDP in the third quarter of 2013 amounted to UAH392.63 billion compared with UAH351.896 billion in the second quarter and UAH301.598 billion in the first.
The official exchange rate on December 10 was UAH7.993/$1.
