Audit Chamber to check how much state programs meet Russia's strategic goals

MOSCOW. Dec 12 (Interfax) - All state programs are to be reviewed by the Russian government by February 1 of next year.

The head of the Audit Chamber, Tatyana Golikova, told journalists that the fiscal watchdog expects a governmental review of all state-run programs by February 1.

"We will also be conducting a nontraditional check of how much these programs meet strategic goals," she said.

Golikova said that the Audit Chamber will also check defense orders.

"The State Duma also requested that we check the implementation of the program for free medical aid in the country. This concerns how the program is being carried out in different areas of the country, and if there are any obstacles, then we have to identify their cause," Golikova said.
