International Space Station to be lifted by over 2 km on Friday
MOSCOW. Dec 13 (Interfax-AVN) - The International Space Station (ISS) orbit will be adjusted for the second time in the past two days on December 13 by the Progress M-21M resupply ship, a source from the space industry told Interfax-AVN.
"The maneuver will start at 6:57 p.m. and last for exactly ten minutes," he said.
The ISS will accelerate by 1.3 meters per second and its orbit will rise 2.3 kilometers to an average altitude of 417.6 kilometers.
The orbit adjustment will create optimal conditions for the docking of the Progress M-22M resupply ship, which will begin its mission on February 5.
