No debate underway in Germany on introducing Magnitsky list - ambassador

MOSCOW. Dec 16 (Interfax) - Germany does not plan to adopt its own Magnitsky list, German ambassador to Moscow Ulrich Brandenburg has said.

There is no debate on introducing the Magnitsky list in Germany, he said to the press answering a question from Interfax about the attitude of Berlin towards the call of the European parliament to introduce a corresponding list in the EU.

However, the diplomat noted that any country keeps black lists of people who are not given visas and expressed the belief that Russia also has such a list.
