Putin urges accelerated integration in his message to Nazarbayev

MOSCOW. Dec 16 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated his Kazakh counterpart Nursultan Nazarbayev on the national holiday of Kazakhstan, Independence Day, on Monday.

The Russian leader lauded the socioeconomic, scientific and technological achievements of Kazakhstan and its growing international standing, the Kremlin press service said.

"V. Putin noted the successful development of Russian-Kazakh relations in the spirit of strategic partnership and expressed confidence that Russia and Kazakhstan would continue to bolster the entire range of mutually advantageous bilateral relations in line with the recently signed Treaty of Neighborliness and Alliance in the 21st Century in the interest of people of the two countries and within the framework of the accelerating integration processes in the Customs Union, the Common Economic Space, the CIS and other multilateral structures existent on the Eurasian continent," the press service said.
