One policeman killed, three others wounded in Makhachkala

MAKHACHKALA. Dec 17 (Interfax) - One policeman has been killed and three others wounded in an armed attack on a police unit in Makhachkala, the Interior Ministry department for Dagestan told Interfax.

The attack took place at the intersection of Akushinsky Street and Gadzhiyev Street at 5:07 p.m. Tuesday, a department spokesperson said. "One policeman died in the gun attack on the spot and three others were wounded. Measures have been taken to detain and neutralize the attackers," he said.
