15 already freed from custody after Dec 1 clashes in Kyiv - prosecutor general
KYIV. Dec 20 (Interfax) - Of the 19 people detained during clashes between pro-European Union demonstrators and police in the center of Kyiv on December 1, 15 have already been released, Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Pshonka said.
"The identities of 19 people involved in the aforementioned legal violations have been established. Eight of them have already admitted their guilt. Of the 19 people who were arrested, 15 have already been freed. Four currently remain in custody," he said in the country's parliament on Friday.
Among those kept in custody are persons suspected of causing bodily harm to a judge, masterminding public disturbances and attacking officers of law enforcement agencies outside the presidential administration offices, Pshonka said.
