Four-year-old girl abducted in Togliatti - Investigations Committee

SAMARA. Dec 23 (Interfax) - The Investigative Department for the Togliatti Avtozavodsky District has opened a criminal case into the fact that a four-year-old girl has gone missing in the city.

The girl was reported missing by her father in the early hours of Monday. He said he had let the girl go for a walk with her 23-year-old neighbor on Sunday afternoon and they had never returned.

The regional investigations department of the Investigations Committee reported on Monday that the criminal case had been opened based on Part 2 of Article 126 of the Russian Criminal Code (child abduction).

The police have determined the person who is believed to be involved in this crime and are working on detaining him, a press release says.
