Moscow weather beats 1910 temperature record

MOSCOW. Dec 25 (Interfax) - The meteorological station located in Moscow's VVTs registered a temperature of plus 3.5 degrees Celsius at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, the Hydrometeorological Centre of Russia (Hydrometcenter) for Moscow and the Moscow region reported on Wednesday.

"The temperature record set on December 25, 1910 was beaten by 0.4 degrees," the source said.

The final maximum temperature for December 25 will become known by the end of the day, the source said.
