Interior Minister, FSB chief report on tightening security, investigation of blasts in Volgograd - Peskov

MOSCOW. Dec 30 (Interfax) - President Vladimir Putin had a working meeting with Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev Monday morning, presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov has said.

"At an earlier meeting with FSB chief Alexander Bortnikov and also at this meeting the president was informed about measures taken to tighten security in relation to the latest terrorist acts," Peskov said.

"The FSB director and head of the Interior Ministry also reported on operations conducted yesterday and today by forces of FSB and the Interior Ministry in Dagestan and Stavropol territory in which several terrorists were eliminated," he said.

A detailed report was made on the progress of the investigation of the terrorist acts to the president, the aide said.

"At instructions from the head of state FSB Director Alexander Bortnikov is leaving for Volgograd," Peskov said.
