Militant killed, 2 policemen wounded in armed clash in Kabardino-Balkaria - source
ROSTOV-ON-DON. Dec 30 (Interfax) - Two police officers were wounded in an armed clash following the surrounding of a private house in Chegem, a source in the law enforcement of Kabardino-Balkaria has told Interfax.
"Law enforcers surrounded up to four militants in a house. An armed clash began in which two police officers were wounded. We also know that one of the militants who attempted to break away was eliminated," the source said.
He said that the special effort to eliminate the surrounded militants continues.
Earlier reports said that the regimen of a counterterrorist operation was introduced in part of Chegem as of 8:30 a.m. on Monday.
