Police deny info on second bomb found near trolley bus blast in Volgograd

MOSCOW. Dec 30 (Interfax) - Law enforcement agencies have denied the media reports on the second bomb found near the trolley bus blown up in Volgograd.

"Indeed, the law enforcement agencies have received information that cables were sticking out of a bag found near the explosion site. However, later it turned out that it was the fare collector's bag and it posed no threat," a source in the law enforcement agencies of the Southern federal District told Interfax.

Some media earlier reported that the second explosive device had been found at the site of the terrorist attack in the Volgograd Dzerzhinsky district and was diffused.
