Russia to render social support to students admitted to leading foreign universities

MOSCOW. Dec 30 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree on social support to Russian students admitted to leading foreign universities.

The decree posted in the databank of normative and legal acts stipulates the employment of such students with organizations registered on the Russian territory upon their graduation.

Social support will be rendered on a competitive basis to Russian citizens who are independently admitted to leading foreign universities (full-time) and pledge to take a job consistent with their field of training.

If the students fail to meet their commitment upon graduation from the foreign university, the money spent on social support will have to be returned. Besides, such graduates "will pay a fine twice exceeding the social support volume."

The Russian government is ordered to enforce the decree.
