Retail deposits in Russian banks up 0.7% in October - Rosstat
MOSCOW. Dec 30 (Interfax) - Retail deposits in ruble and forex accounts at Russian banks totaled 16.062 trillion rubles by November 1, 2013, up 0.7% since the start of October and 21.7% higher than on November 1, 2012, the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) said.
Sberbank of Russia accounted for 44.3% of all retail savings as of November 1, 2013, unchanged from a month earlier.
About 13.094 trillion rubles had accumulated in ruble accounts at Russian banks by that date, up 22.3% year-on-year. Forex deposits in ruble equivalent totaled 2.968 trillion rubles, up 19.1%.
Russians had accumulated 7.116 trillion rubles at Sberbank by November 1, 2013, up 18.9%, including 6.325 trillion rubles in ruble accounts (up 19.4%) and 791 billion rubles in forex accounts (up 15.5%).
