Khodorkovsky receives Swiss visa
MOSCOW. Dec 30 (Interfax) - Former Yukos CEO Mikhail Khodorkovsky, who is in Germany, has received a Swiss visa, Khodorkovsky's spokesperson Olga Pispanen told Interfax on Monday.
"Khodorkovsky has received a Swiss visa. This is an ordinary six-month visa," Pispanen said.
Khodorkovsky will decide on how to use it together with his wife Inna, who flew to Germany, Pispanen said.
"Inna has flown to Mikhail Borisovich. They will decide together what to do with the visa - to go to Switzerland for some time or to move there. Nothing is known for now," the spokesperson said.
Younger sons of Khodorkovsky go to school in Switzerland, Pispanen said.
Prior to this, Khodorkovsky received a special permit to enter and stay in Germany for one year but he could not move within the Schengen zone, the spokesperson said.
It has been reported that on December 19 Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree amnestying Khodorkovsky. On the same day the former Yukos head left the Karelia colony where he served time and flew to Germany on a private jet.
