Ministry: two more Volgograd bombing victims to be brought to Moscow for treatment

MOSCOW. Jan 4 (Interfax) - Russia's Health Ministry said two more people who were injured in this week's deadly bombings in Volgograd and are in a severe condition would be flown into Moscow on Saturday for further treatment.

A ministry spokesman told Interfax that the two victims would be brought to Moscow by a special aircraft and met at the airport by mobile intensive care units.

"Hence 22 people who were injured in the terrorist acts in Volgograd will be in hospital in Moscow," the spokesman said. "The health minister, Veronika Skvortsova, is keeping medical assistance to the casualties under permanent control."

Meanwhile, there remain more that 40 victims of the attacks hospitalized in Volgograd.

The explosion at a train station on Sunday and a trolleybus blast on Monday claimed 34 lives and left scores of people injured.
