Mikhail Leontyev may become Rosneft Vice President for PR
MOSCOW. Jan 8 (Interfax) - Prominent journalist and TV anchor Mikhail Leontyev may become Vice President of Rosneft .
A source close to the oil company told Interfax Leontyev will oversee the operation of the Rosneft information and advertising department. The current head of the department Vladimir Tyulin is likely to leave the company, the source said.
Leontyev said to Interfax that "the idea exists" but that it is for Rosneft to comment on it. "I cannot comment on anything before there is an official appointment," he said.
Rosneft has not officially commented on the reports.
Leontyev, aged 55, has worked for Kommersant, Nezavisimaya Gazeta and Segodnya newspapers, TVTs and ORT channels. According to Kommersant sources, even after joining Rosneft he will continue anchoring Odnako show on Channel 1 and publishing an eponymous magazine.
