Gas production in Russia grows 2.1% in 2013
MOSCOW. Jan 2 (Interfax) - Gas production in Russia grew 2.1% year-on-year to 668.024 billion cubic meters in 2013, the Central Dispatching Department of the Fuel and Energy Complex (CDU TEK) said.
Gas output stood at 64.583 billion cubic meters in December.
Gazprom produced 476.057 billion cubic meters of gas last year, including 46.918 billion cubic meters in December.
One of the largest independent gas producers, Novatek , yielded 52.942 billion cubic meters of gas over the past year (4.491 billion cubic meters in December). Other producers contributed 37.086 billion cubic meters (3.605 billion cubic meters) and production sharing project operators - 27.511 billion cubic meters (2.675 billion cubic meters).
Gas production was greatest amongst vertically integrated oil companies at Lukoil - 18.167 billion cubic meters (1.586 billion in December), Rosneft - 22.314 billion cubic meters (2.882 billion), Surgutneftegas - 12.046 billion (0.978 billion) and Gazprom Neft - 11.355 billion (1.068 billion).
