KazMunayGas earnings down 8% in 9M

ASTANA. Jan 9 (Interfax) - KazMunayGas (KMG) earned 362.3 billion tenge in net profit to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) in January-September 2013, a year-on-year decrease of 8.1%, the Kazakh oil company said in a statement.

Gross profit rose 0.7% to 658.7 billion tenge revenue declined 1.9% to 2.127 trillion tenge.

KMG's assets grew 9.1% to 7.455 trillion tenge, liabilities rose 8.4% to 3.507 trillion tenge, equity capital rose 9.8% to 3.944 trillion tenge.

National Company KazMunayGas JSC is a national operator for exploration, production, processing and transportation of hydrocarbons. The company represents the state interests in the oil and gas sector of Kazakhstan. KazMunayGas is wholly owned by Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund.
