Inter RAO puts off launch of first Yuzhnouralskaya GRES-2 generating unit

MOSCOW. Jan 9 (Interfax) - OJSC Inter RAO UES , Russia's state-controlled electrical power import-export monopoly, has pushed back the commissioning of the first power unit at state district power plant (GRES) Yuzhnouralskaya GRES-2, a company representative told Interfax.

The unit's equipment is being adjusted, which work should be done "in the next several weeks," this source said.

Earlier, OJSC Systems Operator UES said the 420 mWt unit would be put into operation before the end of 2013.

The general contractor for building the unit is CJSC Atomstroyexport.

The power plant project includes the building of two steam-gas generating units with installed capacity of 839 mWt. The project is being implemented under capacity agreements.
