CBR pushes bicurrency corridor up another 5 kopecks
MOSCOW. Jan 10 (Interfax) - The Central Bank of Russia (CBR) moved the bicurrency corridor up another five kopecks for the second time this month on January 9 - to 33.15-40.15 rubles, the CBR said on its website.
The previous move was on January 6.
The CBR previously upped the corridor on December 27. It did so seven times last month, also seven times in November, once in October, three times in September, and six times in August. The corridor was 31.85-38.85 rubles at end-July.
Since September 7, the CBR reduced its accumulated interventions, moving the boundaries of the operating interval by $50 million - from $450 million to $400 million, on December 10 - to $350 million.
