Vyacheslav Gaizer sees his term as head of Komi expire, appointed region's acting head
MOSCOW. Jan 14 (Interfax) - Vyacheslav Gaizer, whose term in office as head of Russia's Republic of Komi expired recently, has been appointed to the post of the region's acting head.
The Kremlin press service reported on Tuesday that an appropriate decree had been signed by President Vladimir Putin.
Gaizer will fulfill the duties of Komi's acting head until the person to be elected to run the republic is sworn into office, according to the presidential decree.
