Policeman dies in shootout in Dagestan, two militants killed - source

ROSTOV-ON-DON/MOSCOW. Jan 15 (Interfax) - A police officer died and up to five officers were injured in a clash with militants in the Khasavyurt district of Dagestan, a police spokesman quoted the tentative information to Interfax on Wednesday. He said the police killed two militants.

The shootout continues in the village of Karlanyurt in the Khasavyurt district, he added.
