ASTANA. Jan 16 (Interfax) - The upper chamber of the Kazakh parliament, the Senate, approved a bill on ratifying a protocol on the location of military infrastructure sites on the territories of the member-states of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) at its Thursday meeting.
The document is now considered to be adopted by the parliament on the whole and has been sent to the president for signature.
The protocol, which was done in Moscow on December 20, 2011, stipulates that the CSTO member-states will decide on housing groups of forces and military infrastructure sites of countries that are not CSTO members after consultations with the other member-states and on condition that they do not have official objections to this.
