Syria's National Coalition is unacceptably delaying decision on its participation in Geneva II - Lavrov
MOSCOW. Jan 17 (Interfax) -The delay by the Syrian National Coalition of its decision on its participation in Geneva II is going beyond the limits of what is reasonable, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.
"I have heard that they plan to make a decision in Istanbul today. However, I have read a report stating that some anonymous member of the coalition said that the decision is most likely to be made tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, not today," he told a press conference in Moscow on Friday.
"It is going beyond the limits of what is reasonable," Lavrov said.
"The main reason is internal conflicts between various coalition groups, which are supported by various external sponsors, not a desire to be better prepared for the conference, where the future of the Syrian state and the people of Syria will be decided," Lavrov said.
