Rogozin sets out Russia's key defense priorities in 2014
MOSCOW. Jan 17 (Interfax-AVN) - The defense industry commission (VPK) is taking charge of shipbuilding, the restoration of a satellite grouping and electronics component manufacturing, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin wrote on Twitter on Friday.
"This year the VPK will take three issues under its special control: shipbuilding and the UNC (United Shipbuilding Corporation) manageability; the restoration of the full group of the spacecraft (designed) for various purposes; the setting up of the United Rocket and Space Corporation and electronic component manufacturing in quantities and quality as needed by the new types of smart weapons," Rogozin said.
"These are complicated but workable issues. We are clear about how to approach and address them," he added.
