Radio Liberty reports detention of its journalists in Kyiv

KYIV. Jan 20 (Interfax) - The police have detained a group of Radio Liberty journalists, the wife of one of the journalists said, citing a text message from her husband.

The journalists went to Grushevsky Street to film the events taking place there after 8:00 a.m. on Monday, Radio Liberty reported. During a pause in the clashes between the protesters and the police, which lasted several minutes, they approached the police cordon and then the broadcast stopped.

Radio Liberty is trying to learn about the reasons for the detention and their current location.

The events taking place on Grushevsky Street were broadcast live on the Radio Liberty website.
