Lavrov calls statement by Syrian opposition "whim"
MOSCOW. Jan 20 (Interfax) - The statement made by the Syrian National Coalition on the suspension of its participation in Geneva II in the event of an Iranian delegation's presence is a whim and indicates a lack of interest in a fair settlement, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.
"The national coalition group was created by external sponsors, and we are not against the national coalition's participation in Geneva II. We hailed its decision to send its delegation to Montreux.
