Actions of Ukrainian opposition in Kyiv violate all European standards - Lavrov

MOSCOW. Jan 21 (Interfax) - Disturbances by participants in Kyiv contradict European standards, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

"The seizure of the mayor's office and the seizure of government buildings where militants were staying for several weeks - imagine if this happened in any EU country. Is it possible? They would never allow it," Lavrov said at a news conference in Moscow on Tuesday when commenting on the situation in Ukraine.

"Violence, attacks on police, arson, the 'Molotov cocktails' and explosive devices - this is awful and this is absolute violation of all European standards of behavior," Lavrov said.
