Reports on death of two EuroMaidan activists come from Kyiv

KYIV. Jan 22 (Interfax) - The EuroMaidan self-defense staff has confirmed the death of an activist in a confrontation between the police and protesters on Hrushevsky Street, the Segodnya.ua edition reported.

The 22-year-old activist, who fell down from the 13-meter-high colonnade of the Dynamo stadium, died at a hospital on Tuesday afternoon.

His death was first reported by social networking websites and later confirmed by the Maidan self-defense staff. The name of the victim is unknown.

Meanwhile, a EuroMaidan medical service doctor claimed that a demonstrator was shot in the confrontation between the police and the protesters on Hrushevsky Street early on Wednesday morning.

The doctor told reporters that the injured man died in the morning.

The body is being kept in a building at 4, Hrushevsky Street. A police detail has arrived there.
