Ukraine needs to examine Customs Union's legislative base before deciding whether to join it - PM Azarov
KYIV. Jan 22 (Interfax) - Ukraine will decide whether it will join the Belarusian-Kazakh-Russian Customs Union only after thoroughly examining the Union's legislative base, Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said.
"We are examining the Customs Union's legislative base now," Azarov said in an interview with the Russian news TV channel Rossiya-24 when asked whether he believes that Ukraine might joint the Customs Union.
"When we finish this work, there will be both pluses and minuses on the scale, and then perhaps it will be necessary to see whether there are more advantages or disadvantages. We are not in a position to say this right now," Azarov said.
