Rosneft invests 2.7 bln in infrastructure in Sochi
SOCHI. Jan 23 (Interfax) - Russian oil company Rosneft invested 2.7 billion rubles in the development of company infrastructure in Sochi, Rosneft Regional Sales Director Avril Konroi told the press Wednesday.
Rosneft spent 1.3 billion on the construction of Olympic format gas filling stations and some funds went to the construction of oil bases in Adler.
So far, seven gas filling stations have been built and an eighth will be completed at the end of 2014 - beginning of 2015.
The Olympic format filling station was specially developed for Sochi.
Rosneft said that apart from traditional types of gasoline and diesel fuel, the Olympic filling stations are equipped to charge electric cars within 15 minutes.
As well as the Olympic format filling stations, Rosneft has 18 regular filling stations in Sochi.
During the renovation of the Adler oil base, tank farm capacity was increased from 3,700 cubic meters to 10,000 cubic meters.
Rosneft is a general partner of the XXII Winter Olympics and the XI Paralympics in Sochi. The company is supplying fuel to the Organizing Committee of the games, the Olympic and Paralympic committes, the Russian Olympic team and government corporation Olympstroy.
