General Staff working out Russian military development plans - Gerasimov
MOSCOW. Jan 27 (Interfax-AVN) - Coordinated elaboration of concepts and development plans of military units and law enforcement authorities in the national defense interests is a task of the Russian General Staff, Russian General Staff Chief General of the Army Valery Gerasimov said at an annual meeting of the Academy of Military Sciences on Saturday.
"The drafting of a regulatory document is being considered with this purpose," he said.
"The document will spell out keynote principles of the state policy in military development and the outlook with detailed descriptions of tasks, goals, areas and ways forward for Russia's military development and the conditions of their implementation," he said.
