House of Russian Olympic team's fans in Sochi to have almost 3,000 sq m space

SOCHI. Jan 28 (Interfax) - The house of fans of the Russian national team in the 22nd Olympic and 11th Paralympic Winter Games 2014 will open in the Sochi Olympic Park on February 6.

"The house for fans of the Russian Olympic team will open in Sochi on February 6; it will have a floor area of 2,700 square meters," a source from the house's press service told Interfax on Tuesday.

The "heart" of the house will be a club zone accommodating live broadcasts from sport events with comments by leading sports experts, meetings with favorite athletes, autograph and photo opportunities, victory parties of Olympic champions and winners, and joint celebrations of victories of the Russian national team.

"The house of fans of the Russian Olympic team will hold its events daily," the press service representative said.

Every visitor will be provided with a fan guide book, a Russian flag and souvenirs for winning contests and quizzes.

"The fans will have an opportunity to participate in an amateur sports competition and a contest for the title of "Best Prepared Fan"," he said.

Visitors will be welcomed to an unforgettable experience of 3D videos filmed by athletes in their skiing down the hill or a ski jump.

"The house is divided into several zones. An exhibition dedicated to 15 Olympic winter sports will give guests more information about Olympic events, competition rules and athletes representing our country," the team press service said.

The house of fans of the Russian Olympic team is situated in the center of the Olympic Park and can be seen from afar: a big heart in Russian flag colors will guide national team fans to the house's door.
