Growth rate of Russian palm oil imports continues to fall

MOSCOW. Jan 28 (Interfax) - The rate of growth for imports of palm oil and its fractions to Russia continues to fall.

The Russian Statistics Service said Tuesday that Russia imported 699,000 tonnes in January-November, up 18.8%. There was a 27.8% increase in January-October, 36.5% in January-September and 45.3% in January-August.

Russian imported 67,800 tonnes of palm oil in November, down 28.3% on November 2012.

Imports of sunflower, safrole and cotton oils increased 5.4% in January-November to 17,600 tonnes. The increase was a little below the growth seen in the ten months.

Imports of coconut oil, including babassu oil, increased 24.4% in the eleven months to 94,000 tonnes, compared to 22.5% growth in the ten months.
