Terrorism does not look like top subject to Syrian opposition - Kurdish representative
MOSCOW. Jan 29 (Interfax) - The Syrian government and the opposition will resume negotiations on Wednesday, Kurdish member of the National Coalition delegation Radwan Badini said.
"The negotiations will resume shortly today but the sides stick their positions, so no progress has been made and no agreements have been reached," he told Interfax.
In his words, the sides will again discuss the formation of an interim government in Syria.
The government delegation also insists on speaking about terrorism in Syria, he said.
"The government insists on speaking about terrorism, and the opposition says this is not an item of the agenda suggested by [UN Envoy for Syria] Lakhdar Brahimi. It may be talked about, but it is not a primary subject for discussion," Badini said.
Brahimi decided on Tuesday the sides should take a break from the negotiations.
Meanwhile, a source from the Syrian government delegation in Geneva told Interfax that the first round of inter-Syrian negotiations might end already on Friday, January 31.
