Yerevan expects from Baku constructive approach to Karabakh - Sargsian
YEREVAN. Jan 30 (Interfax) - The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict cannot be resolved unless Azerbaijan abandons its belligerent rhetoric, Armenian President Serzh Sargsian said.
"Conflict resolution is impossible unless the Azerbaijani side abandons its belligerent rhetoric, arms race and provocative actions. The time has come for Azerbaijan to demonstrate a constructive approach for a purely peaceful resolution of the conflict," Sargsian told a press conference held jointly with Czech President Milos Zeman in Prague on Thursday.
The press conference was broadcast on the Internet.
On the issue of a peaceful and long-term resolution of the Karabakh problem, Yerevan "is expecting an impartial approach from the international community, or at least its willingness not to harm the process," the Armenian president also said.
