McFaul to leave Russia to work for Stanford University
MOSCOW. Feb 4 (Interfax) - U.S. Ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul plans to return to Stanford University to work there.
"In the nearest future, I will be working for Stanford University. However, part of me, emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually, will stay in Russia forever. That's how it was before I started working in public service. That's how it will be," McFaul said in his blog on livejournal.com.
"I will continue working on several projects for President Obama and his administration. I will speak about it later. I will be looking for ways to make a contribution to the strengthening of relations between our business circles and civil society. You don't have to work in public service to do something useful in these areas," McFaul said.
