Rosneft boosts daily production 80.3% to 4.8 mln bbl oil equivalent in 2013
MOSCOW. Feb 4 (Interfax) - Rosneft increased consolidated production 80.3% to 4.873 million barrels of oil equivalent per day (boepd), the company said in a press release.
Production of oil and liquids averaged 4.196 boepd, 72% more (organic growth equaled 1%). Gas production increased 130% to 38.17 billion cubic meters (organic growth equaled 22%).
Rosneft "stabilized production of its largest West Siberia assets, including Samotlorneftegaz, Nizhnevartovsk, Varyeganneftegaz , and Nyaganneftegaz," the press release says. It also achieved 2.9% growth in liquids production at Samaraneftegaz, it says.
"In 2013, output from producing greenfield (Vankor, Verkhnechonskoye and the Uvat group of fields) accounted for 19% of the Company's total liquids production," it says. Rosneft started gas injection at Vankor in the fourth quarter as a part of the project solution for the field development to maintain formation pressure. Two new fields, Yuzhno-Petiegskoye and Radonezhskoye, were brought on stream at the Uvat group of fields in the south of the Tyumen region and three new fields were discovered.
On Russia's continental shelf, Rosneft jointly with its partners carried out "an unprecedented E&A offshore effort," including acquisition of 32,500 linear km of 2D seismic and 2,600 square km of 3D seismic and performance of geological engineering surveys to prepare 12 sites for exploration drilling. In total, the Company has 46 licenses for developing Russia's offshore with the resources of 45 billion tonnes of oil equivalent.
Growth in gas production is due primarily to integration of the major gas assets resulting from the TNK-BP acquisition and consolidation of Itera assets. "In 2013, gas sales amounted to 39.07 bcm, including 24.02 bcm in West Siberia, 10.42 bcm in the European part of Russia and 0.94 bcm outside of Russia," Rosneft said.
Throughput at Rosneft refineries in Russia and abroad totaled 90.12 million tonnes in 2013, 46.3% more than in 2012 (the processing total for the entire group was 97.68 million tonnes last year). It produced 18 million tonnes of Euro 4 and 5 diesel fuel. Fuel volumes delivered under contracts with airlines rose 23% to 67.8 billion rubles in 2013, the company said.
